ScienceNet posts can be browsed at: http://fatcatsbbs.com/fatX/sub_list.xjs?g=ScienceNet Registering as a node: ---------------------- Restrictions: - Your BBS must be QWK network capable. - Your BBS (including its users) should not be known for causing trouble on other networks. - Your BBS should be running for at least: - The past six months, or - The upcoming six months. This is to avoid Temporary Sysop Syndrome and QWK Network Join-a-thon Syndrome. - That's it. All BBSes who do not fall foul of the restrictions are welcome. For now, registration is as simple as: - Register on fatcats bbs (telnet: fatcatsbbs.com) as a new user: - Use your BBS's QWK ID as the username. - When prompted during registration, reply yes to confirm that you are registering as a QWK node. - Leave feedback mail letting me know how to contact you, and some information about your BBS. - Ensure you verify your BBS's settings with the permissions table below. - Ensure you comply with all the rules within this document, which changes from time to time. - Synchronet sysops: follow the instructions below. Other sysops: do the equivalent steps, for your BBS software. Conduct: -------- - Real names or aliases are allowed. - Flame wars and trolling will not be tolerated. - Maximum frequency of call outs: every 15 minutes. - BBSes must not allow unvalidated accounts to port (see Permissions section).
